Dershowitz Drops Hammer on Mueller Filings: He’s Come Up With ‘Far Less Than He Hoped For’

Liberal attorney Alan Dershowitz appeared on “Fox and Friends” on Saturday morning and he put a big damper on liberal hopes that the latest Mueller findings were a smoking gun against President Donald Trump.

On Friday, the Special Counsel made filings in both the Paul Manafort case and in the case against Michael Cohen.

And Dershowitz said they revealed that “Mueller has come up with far less than he hoped for.”

From Fox News Insider:

He explained that the Manafort filing reveals the former Trump campaign chairman is not cooperating in the investigation, and the Cohen memo doesn’t reveal anything new about hush money payments to women who allegedly had sexual encounters with Trump.

“It’s a very, very weak case that Cohen has provided,” Dershowitz said. “I suspect that may be the reason he’s getting very little in terms of sentencing consideration.”

He said the most likely result of the Mueller probe is a long report that tries to piece together a “mosaic” that shows Trump committed “political sin, but not federal crime.”

“So that’s the most likely scenario — no crime, but political sin — which would be a complete distortion of what the role of a special counsel is supposed to be,” Dershowitz said.

In other words, Mueller is going to try to make Trump look bad, try to throw out “process crimes” of catching various people in lies but not any real crimes.

And no collusion, the whole point of the this exercise to begin with.

Remember that? It was supposed to be looking into if Russia colluded to affect the election with the Trump team.

Yet, still, nothing shows that. Except on the Democratic side, with Hillary Clinton and the Democrats paying for information from Russians through cutouts to get the dossier.
