MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Tells Blatant Falsehood About Brenda Snipes to Help Democrats

With all the funny business going on down in Florida, one would think that the media would want to be all oever investigating it. But instead, while the local media has in fact been on top of it, the national media like CNN and MSNBC have been spinning like crazy trying to argue there’s no “fraud,” while largely ignoring the court rulings finding the election supervisors were violating the law in multiple different ways. That was bad enough that they were misinforming their viewers. But MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell just took it one step further with an egregious falsehood.

Brenda Snipes, the Broward County elections supervisor has come under a lot of criticism for all the failings of her office during the midterms and her breaking of the law.

Mitchell tried to dismiss or diminish concerns, arguing that there wasn’t any Democratic funny business going on because Snipes wasn’t a Democrat.

From Mediaite:

On her MSNBC show on Monday, anchor Andrea Mitchell claimed that Brenda Snipes, Supervisor of Elections for Broward County, Florida, is “hardly a democratic official.” Snipes is in fact a Democrat.

“We should also point out that Brenda Snipes in Broward County is a Republican appointed by former governor, then-Governor Jeb Bush,” said Mitchell. “So, she was put in by a Republican governor after the mess that we all remember from 2000. And she’s hardly a Democratic official, or someone doing the bidding of the Democratic candidates there.”

Yes, Bush did appoint her in an effort to replace a Democrat with a Democrat. A bad decision. But that doesn’t make her a Republican.

Snipes is a well-known Democrat, identifies as a Democrat and ran for her elected position as a Democrat. As is Susan Bucher, the problematic Palm Beach County election supervisor. Democrats control both counties.

It’s very easy to check.

How do you make a blatant falsehood like that? Is it surprising people no longer trust liberal media with statements like that?

And now even Jeb Bush has weighed in.
