The fight in Florida over the Senate race and the race for governor has become a knock-down drag-out fight, especially over the past couple of days as election supervisors in two Democratic strongholds, Broward and Palm Beach Counties were refusing to comply with legal reporting requirements in regard to the ballots. And the race got closer as they refused to comply and ballots continued to be counted after the legal time.
But just to show you how Democrats are doing anything they can to grab the election, there’s this little tidbit about what lawyers for the Democratic candidates Bill Nelson and Andrew Gillum did.
And if you ever needed a demonstration of why to vote red, this would be it.
As the candidates’ representatives were observing the counting of the votes, lawyers for Gillum and Nelson fought to include a vote from someone who wasn’t a citizen according to a transcript of the proceeding.
From Daily Caller:
Michael Barnett, chairman of the Palm Beach Republican Party, told TheDCNF that the county’s canvassing board was going through provisional ballots and quickly deciding whether to allow or disallow each. This exchange is of the first non-citizen’s vote they encountered. “We had a court reporter that we hired to sit in the proceedings, which are public,” he said.
The vote was disallowed despite the objections of the lawyers because two of the three members of the canvassing board ruled that it was an impermissible vote, he said.
Marc Elias, the lead lawyer for Nelson tried to explain away Scarola’s objection. “The lawyer who was present was not someone we had authorized to make such an objection. Non-citizens cannot vote in U.S. elections.”
So you didn’t authorize him to make objections, but he’s there representing you and making objections in your name? You expect people to believe that?
And what would be Gillum’s excuse be then? His lawyer did not make a response in time for q request to comment.
While they partially covered the name of the person in question, the first name appears to be Katia, a common Russian name. The irony that they wanted to include the vote of someone who may have been a non-citizen from Russian is thick.
Elias worked for both Hillary Clinton and the DNC. He was the liaison who hired Fusion GPS for the dossier to smear Donald Trump with which was later given to the FBI and to media.
