New Poll Of Potential 2020 Front-Runners Shows Who Democrats Want To Lead — The Result Has Conservatives Laughing

Democrats are walking away from the 2018 congressional elections with their heads up high. They did it — they claim — and finally stuck it to President Trump. They took back their majority in the House of Representatives (which they disastrously lost under former President Obama) and now say they have 2020 in their sights.

The next presidential election will surely be an interesting election. Needless to say, Trump triumphed over the “unbeatable” Hillary Clinton in 2016, so who will Democrats offer forward as their next champion? A new poll shows the Democrat Party has no clue.

A new poll exclusively asked Democrats and Independents who, of a list of front-runners, they wanted to be their candidate.

The list included former Vice President Joe Biden, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, Independent Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, New Jersey Senator Cory Booker, California Senator Kamala Harris, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

This is a who’s who of top Democrats. So who won?

Check it out, via the Hill.TV:

With the 2018 midterms in the rearview mirror, several Democrats are gearing up for the 2020 presidential contest. But so far, no Democrat has attracted broad support from the party’s base, according to a new Hill.TV American Barometer poll.

The survey, conducted among 680 registered voters who identified themselves as Democrats or independents, found that “none of the above” was the most popular choice among potential 2020 challengers to President Trump.

Here’s the breakdown of how each candidate fared against “None of the above,” via a Washington Examiner op-ed:

Ouch.

The poll, which surveyed 680 registered voters between Nov. 5-6, and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.7 percentage points, asked respondents to answer the question, “Who is your preference to become the Democratic nominee in the 2020 election for President?”

Respondents were then provided with a list of potential candidates. It included: Warren, Biden, Sanders, Booker, Harris, Bloomberg, Clinton, and “None of the above.”

“None” came in first place with 30 percent of the vote. Biden came in second at 25 percent. Sanders came in third with 18 percent of the vote. Clinton, who quite literally just ran for president, managed somehow to come in fourth place with 12 percent.

Warren and Harris both came in at just four percent. So much for those viral anti-Kavanaugh moments. Bloomberg performed just as poorly, which is actually not that bad considering he has kept a lower profile. Booker did the worst of them all, clocking in at just three percent. Well done, Spartacus.

Of course, the list did not include some other rising stars on the Left, like Texas senatorial Democrat Beto O’Rourke, who just lost his election bid to Republican incumbent Ted Cruz; and attorney Michael Avenatti, who is having to pay back nearly $5 million as the result of a recent lawsuit.
