New Migrant Caravan Used Guns, Molotov Cocktails To Enter Mexico — Why Is No One Talking About This?

President Trump was just proven absolutely right in his description of the looming migrant caravan as “an invasion.”

While liberals are trying to criticize Trump over the description (because it is not PC, of course), a new report says the caravan is exactly that.

A migrant caravan seeking to enter the United States has become a major point of contention for politicians ahead of a consequential midterm election as the estimated 7,000 people have traveled from Honduras and could reach the U.S.-Mexico border over the next couple weeks. But, it is another caravan which is really setting off alarms.

A new migrant caravan which formed shortly after the thousands-strong caravan crossed into Mexico from Guatemala and reportedly used guns and Molotov cocktails to do so.

Sounds like an invasion…Watch:

Reuters reports a Mexican government official said the Mexican police force were unequipped to handle the threat from the caravan which led to the death of one migrant. Six officers were injured as the two groups clashed over the border.

From the report:

The group of more than 300 Salvadorans left the capital San Salvador on Sunday. A larger group of mostly Hondurans, estimated to number between 3,500 and 7,000, who left their country in mid-October and are now in southern Mexico, has become a key issue in U.S. congressional elections.

A third group broke through a gate at the Guatemala border with Mexico in Tecun Uman on Sunday, and clashed with police. Local first responders said that security forces used rubber bullets against the migrants, and that one person, Honduran Henry Adalid, 26, was killed.

Six police officers were injured, said Beatriz Marroquin, the director of health for the Retalhuleu region.

How did this happen? Well, Mexico’s Interior Minister Alfonso Navarrete said the officers did not take any weapons with them to the border. Nada, nothing, zilch.

Meanwhile, the caravan was armed with guns and some others had Molotov cocktails, the interior minister said. Daily Mail similarly reports the caravan is “armed with bombs and guns.”

Guns, Molotov cocktails, and bombs…

Many others within the caravan reportedly threw stones and glass bottles at the defenseless police force. Needless to say, the Mexican forces did not last long before the caravan crossed into the country.

Here’s more, from the Daily Caller:

A new migrant caravan is heading to the U.S. from El Salvador and law enforcement officials report that some of its members are armed.

Bound for the U.S., the new group of migrants are reportedly following closely behind the thousands-strong Central American caravan currently traveling through Mexico on the way to the American border.

Three hundred Salvadorans left the nation’s capital of San Salvador on Sunday, according to a report from Reuters. The report details how law enforcement is struggling to deal with the new group, which is allegedly using violent tactics against Mexican border agents.

Liberals and some members of mainstream media had a problem with the term “invasion,” but what other term describes a group using guns and Molotov cocktails to break across international borders?

Here’s even more, per Daily Mail:

The second group back at the Guatemalan frontier has been more unruly than the first that crossed. Guatemala’s Interior Ministry said Guatemalan police officers were injured when the migrant group broke through border barriers on Guatemala’s side of the bridge.

Mexico authorities said migrants attacked its agents with rocks, glass bottles and fireworks when they broke through a gate on the Mexican end but were pushed back, and some allegedly carried guns and firebombs.

On Monday, Mexican Interior Secretary Alfonso Navarrete Prida lamented what he called a second ‘violent attempt’ to storm the border, accusing people of placing the elderly, pregnant women and children at the front, putting them at risk of being crushed.

‘Fortunately, that did not happen,’ he said.

The standoff at the riverbank followed a more violent confrontation that occurred on the bridge over the river Sunday night, when migrants threw rocks and used sticks against Mexico police. One migrant died from a head wound during the clash, but the cause was unclear.

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said on “Fox News Sunday” that the U.S. was facing a “crisis at the border right now.”

She added: “I think what the president is making clear is every possible action, authority, executive program, is on the table to consider, to ensure that it is clear that there is a right and legal way to come to this country and no other ways will be tolerated.”

In the wake of the Mexico border crossing, Trump called the migrant caravan members “very tough fighters and people” in a tweet over social media.

“The Caravans are made up of some very tough fighters and people. Fought back hard and viciously against Mexico at Northern Border before breaking through. Mexican soldiers hurt, were unable, or unwilling to stop Caravan. Should stop them before they reach our Border, but won’t!”

In another tweet, Trump spoke directly to the caravan: “This is an invasion of our Country and our Military is waiting for you!”
