POWERFUL: ‘Angel Mom’ Has Message For Migrant Caravan

“Angel Mom” Agnes Gibboney has a heart-stopping message for the migrant caravan heading to the United States: Just stop.

As Fox News Insider reports, in 2002, Gibboney lost her son after he was shot by an illegal alien; the assailant then fled to Mexico and was later arrested, but it is hard to imagine that she felt any justice for her loss.

“Fox & Friends” host Ainsley Earhardt asked Gibboney what she thought of the migrant caravan and what she would say to them.

“I want to tell them to stop. This mob—this is criminal activity—I’m speechless. This is a mob that’s invading our country and this needs to be stopped,” Gibboney said during the interview. “They don’t respect our country.”

“They didn’t respect the borders into Mexico, they tore down their wall. and, Mexico has very  strict immigration laws and they didn’t care.”

Gibboney, who legally migrated to America from Hungary, said she understands very personally, that these migrants have no intention to follow American laws.

“What makes anybody think that they’re going to respect American laws? We don’t need these people here,” Gibboney passionately said. “If they are legitimate refugees—don’t come here if you just need a job, that’s not a reason to be a refugee—[they should] go through the first port of entry.”

“We have immigration laws, we need to enforce them,” she later added.

During a rally in Texas, President Trump called the looming caravan “an assault on our country.”

He added, “In that caravan, you have some very bad people and we can’t let that happen to our country.”

While aboard Air Force One, Trump also said there would not be a limit to how many troops he would be willing to send to the border to prevent the migrant caravan, which is currently estimated to be between 5,000 and 10,000 people, from entering the country.

And, from Fox News:

The president previously vowed to send the U.S. military, as opposed to the National Guard, to confront the group, which the United Nations now estimates is over 7,200 members strong. Dramatic footage over the weekend showed the caravan, which is at least 1,100 miles from the U.S. border, defying Trump’s warnings and smashing a border fence, as migrants flooded into Mexico despite the presence of riot police.

Asked how many troops he was willing to send, Trump told the paper simply, “as many as necessary.”

Deploying a large number of U.S. military personnel would avert some of the political headaches Trump faced earlier this year, when he tusseled with the governments of several states, including California, over how many of their National Guard troops they would agree to send to assist with border enforcement.

Federal law restricts National Guard troops in federal service from performing law enforcement activities, but they can when operating under state authority and are permitted to assist Border Patrol officers with certain law enforcement functions. The president has far greater authority to direct the U.S. military, as long as it is deployed off U.S. soil.
