Mainstream media has done very little since the 2016 presidential election to hide their bias against President Trump, but their latest hot mic example shows they are just accepting their role as an extension of the Democrat Party.
ABC News, a generally left-of-center news organization, went down to Texas to cover an event held by Democrat senatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke and one of their reporters was caught praising him as a “rock star.”
From the Hill:
ABC News reporter Paula Faris labeled Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) a “rock star” during an interview with the Senate hopeful that aired Sunday on the network’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos.”
“You’re a rock star,” Faris said to O’Rourke as the two walked past supporters cheering the candidate.
“No, no. There is just so many great people,” O’Rourke replied.
“No you really are,” Faris insisted.

The line would naturally be accepted in Faris’ previous gig on “The View,” but now under the banner of “objective reporting,” some people online are saying she went too far:

How Leftist Propaganda Is Made:
1. Film Dear Candidate walking around his own supporters
2. Act thrilled & surprised when Dear Candidate gets cheered as he wanders rally in his own honor
3. Call Dear Candidate a “Rock star,” say they can’t go anywhere “without being noticed.” pic.twitter.com/b9oC0sKVMV

Look at the reporters face. She’s so happy. Why don’t they do this same type of reporting at a @realDonaldTrump 10, 000 plus rally? You think the Media would ever call him a “rockstar?”

While Faris did not directly address the comment over social media, she said it was “an honor” to speak with both O’Rourke and Cruz.
“My conversations with @SenTedCruz @BetoORourke about one of the hottest midterm races in the country,” Faris tweeted. “It was an honor to speak to both candidates and some of their diehard supporters. We’ll have much more on @Nightline this week.”
