President Donald Trump is now rounding out his 12-day trip to Asia in Vietnam at the APEC meeting. But Rush LImbaugh is pointing out one aspect of the trip that he feels the mainstream media has skipped over.
From Western Journal:
Limbaugh uploaded a photo to his Facebook page on Thursday of President Trump and first lady Melania Trump after they had exited Air Force One.
The photo shows the two being greeted by several children who can be seen waving both Chinese and American flags.
Limbaugh said the mainstream media has largely refused to show the photo, which shows the president and first lady visibly happy to have received the warm welcome in China.
“There’s not a single network that televised all of the Chinese children waving American flags to welcome President Trump,” Limbaugh wrote.
In a big dig at the NFL, Limbaugh said, “They’re happy to see President Trump. There are more ChiCom children waving the American flag than NFL players waving the American flag.”
You can see some of the greeting here. But Rush is right, it doesn’t show you all the children.
But obviously, the kids they did show were delighted to have the opportunity and the Trumps were very pleased with the enthusiastic greeting.
And Rush is exactly right, very few in media actually had it up or commented on it.
Quite a different greeting than Barack Obama received when he went to China, where he was denied a red carpet and had to deplane from the belly of the plane with no fanfare and Chinese security yelling at his people including former National Security Advisor Susan Rice.
Yes, it’s exactly the way they would deliver a message if they don’t like you, despite CBS’s effort to explain the snub to Obama.
Far from how they treated Trump and this despite the fact that Trump has called them out for unfair trade practices and for not doing enough to stop North Korea from its aggressive behavior with its ballistic missile tests.
And the time in China appears to have borne fruit for American businesses.
As reported by The Western Journal, Trump also announced Thursday that the U.S. had secured roughly $250 billion in deals between China and various American businesses.
During a brief news conference, China’s Commerce Minister Zhong Shan spoke highly of the deals with the U.S.
“This is truly a miracle,” Shan said, according to Bloomberg.
Trump praised the strengthening of the relationship. And without mentioning Obama, Trump took a dig at his lack of success at making any trade headway with China, and said the U.S. needed to change its policies to do better on trade as regards China and other countries.
The Chinese are definitely treating Trump differently and going all out to curry his favor.
So far it’s been productive to American business and they seem to have moved in more positive directions of pressuring North Korea.
Hopefully that truly bears fruit and stops the North Koreans from their adventurism.
But Rush definitely nails it, media really doesn’t want to show that enthusiasm or embrace as demonstrated by the children.
